ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/PAYROLL CLERK

The City of Soddy-Daisy is seeking professional candidates for the position of Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk.  Please see requirements below.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field gained through a four year college/university academic program or specialized technical training equivalency.

Job Description:  Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk

General Description:

To maintain business license for the City, maintain accounts payable, prepare bi-weekly payroll for 80 plus employees and enter recurring journal entries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Have prepared payroll for 50 plus employees at previous job.

Be fluid with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Be able to multi-task essential duties including some Human Resources activities with day to day accounting activities.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field gained through a four year college/university academic program or specialized technical training equivalency.

Experience Required:

Must have a minimum of 1 year prior experience related to maintaining accounts payable and/or payroll preparation.
