Regular Trash ServiceHousehold trash is collected on a weekly basis throughout the City. This service is provided by Capital Waste Services (formerly Priority Waste Services) located at  470 Rock Quarry Road  Soddy-Daisy, TN,  423-332-4600.  Residents are responsible for providing their own trash cans with a capacity of greater than 20 gallons but no more than 95 gallons, constructed of plastic, metal or fiberglass.  All cans must have a tight-fitting lid capable of preventing entrance into the container by pests, and the mouth of the container shall have a diameter greater than or equal to that of the base. 

When should I put Trash Out? 
Each street is designated 1 Pickup Day a week.  Containers should be placed on the curbside by 7:00 am on collection day.

Do I receive Trash Service?
All residential homes within city limits receive Regular Trash Collection.  Additionally, residents of homes can request Sparkle and Brush pickups.  To confirm whether your location is within city limits, refer to the city map or contact City Hall for clarification.



Sparkle Pickup (Bulk Item Collection)Bulk items may be collected up to two (2) times per calendar year per residential address. There is a limit of one dump truck load per pickup. This includes such items as appliances, furniture, lumber, toys, etc.
Excluded Items:  Concrete, roofing shingles, tires, auto parts, liquids, and hazardous materials (paint, oil, gas, propane tanks, barbed wire, etc.) are NOT picked up.  There is a maximum of (8) bags of leaves and (2) mattresses to be taken within the calendar year.  This service is not intended for remodeling or construction materials. 
Preparation:  Items must be put on the right-of-way and be easily accessible.  Compressors must be removed from refrigerators and air conditioners prior to pickup. Do not stack any items against any private or public property such as a mailbox, fence, or fire hydrant, so as not to obstruct collection.  Brush is NOT to be combined with a sparkle pickup.  To request a pickup, call City Hall at 423-332-5323.


Brush PickupBrush may be collected up to two (2) times per calendar year per residential address. Brush cannot exceed 4 inches in diameter and 8 feet in length.
Preparation: Items must be put on the right-of-way and be easily accessible.  It is preferred that the brush be stacked in one direction.  Do not stack any items against any private or public property such as a mailbox, fence, or fire hydrant, so as not to obstruct collection when using a backhoe if necessary. Brush is NOT to be combined with a sparkle pickup.  To request a pickup, call City Hall at 423-332-5323.
