CITY COMMISSION

The Board of Commissioners is the governing body of Soddy-Daisy. There are five commissioners elected to four-year staggered terms. The mayor and vice-mayor are appointed by the commissioners for two-year terms. The commissioners are responsible for voting on all city ordinances, resolutions, and policies.

Commission meetings are scheduled on the first and third Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm in the Municipal Building.

MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION

The Municipal Planning Commission reviews plats, site plans, and requests for certain permits. They make recommendations to the City Commission for rezonings, and also for amendments to the Soddy-Daisy Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations. 
Meeting Time: The second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
Location: The Municipal Building at 9835 Dayton Pike,  Soddy-Daisy, TN
Submittal Deadline: To be included on the agenda, submit your request before the second Wednesday of the month. It will not be heard until the next month's meeting. Contact City Hall with any questions.

THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS


The Zoning Board of Appeals hears requests for variances of the Zoning Ordinance requirements. They also consider granting certain appeal permits and conditional permits.

Meeting Time: The second Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m., as business necessitates.
Location: The Municipal Building at 9835 Dayton Pike,  Soddy-Daisy, TN
Submittal Deadline: To be included on the agenda, submit your request before the second Wednesday of the month. It will not be heard until the next month's meeting. Contact City Hall with any questions.

BEER BOARD

The Beer Board issues beer permits in the City.  Meetings are held as business necessitates. Permit applications are available at City Hall.
